Revive by Paul "Moose" Curtis
Paul Curtis, hailing from Leeds in the north of England, had already begun to develop the intricate design aesthetic and playfully subversive worldview that would become hallmarks of his work long before art school classmate Damien Hirst anointed him with the nickname, “Moose”.
However, the moniker stuck for good once he took to the streets and first began cleaning things that didn’t belong to him in the summer of 1999. Armed with only a small rag and an agenda to promote a new release from the small independent record label where he worked, he created his first work in grime in a small local tunnel.
